Science-led breastfeeding support, made practical.
Lactology is a science-led lactation service providing evidence-based breastfeeding support for mothers and families across Australia, with online consultations nationwide and in-person appointments available on the Sunshine Coast.
Support for every feeding stage.
Whether you’re preparing for birth, troubleshooting early weeks, or needing reassurance, this is care grounded in science and delivered with warmth.
Prepare with confidence
Learn what “normal” looks like, how to set up supply, and what support to have in place before baby arrives.
Get help when it matters most
Feeding pain, latch issues, slow gain, pumping plans, mastitis management, and practical support tailored to you and your baby.
Evidence you can apply in practice
Resources and education designed to strengthen lactation confidence in clinical care (with more training to come).
Not just advice—evidence, translated.
Breastfeeding advice can be noisy and contradictory. Lactology filters the research and translates it into clear, actionable guidance—without the guilt, fear, or fluff. We also openly acknowledge that evidence evolves (because it does), and your care should evolve with it.
Practical plans you can follow at home
Evidence-backed support (with sources when you want to go deeper)
Inclusive care that supports all feeding journeys
A calm, professional space for overwhelmed parents
Meet your Lactologist
Hi, I’m Courtney Slegers.
Lactation & Breastfeeding Counsellor
I founded Lactology because mothers deserve structured, evidence-based breastfeeding support—and they deserve it now, not years after clinical practice catches up. My work bridges clinical care, education, and research so families can feel informed, supported, and confident through every feeding stage.
